Colorrs API was created to give designers instant inspiration from images on Forrst and Dribbble. Colorrs API provides users a way to search images from Forrst, Dribbble and Flickr. What makes Colorrs API unique is that it’s the first API of its kind to search images based on the colors in them.
For example , I know I want to have some yellow in my next design but I need some inspiration first! So I use the Colorrs API to search for yellow images on Forrst and Dribbble. You can also upload your own images to Colorrs API and allow users to search the colors in your images as well. Not only can you search colors by their hexadecimal color code, you can also search images by their rgb or hsl color values. You can even opt to save the images you find as Adobe Swatch files (.aco file) so you can open their colors in Photoshop!
